Nintendo Switch, a console that has been under development for a decade, will soon be compatible with streaming services such as Amazon Video, Netflix and HBO GO, the company announced.
The Switch will support the likes of HBO GO and Netflix in the coming months, as well as Twitch, which will soon join in.
The announcement comes just weeks after Nintendo announced its Switch plans.
A Switch version of the Netflix service, which is owned by Amazon, was launched on the Nintendo Switch back in April.
Nintendo has since announced that it will be launching an official Switch streaming service later this year.
However, the Switch is also expected to support gaming on TV and in virtual reality headsets like Oculus Rift.
The announcement of the Switch VOD service comes a day after Nintendo also announced that its Nintendo Switch games will be available in VR for the first time.
Nintendo is now expected to launch the first Nintendo Switch VR headset in the United States in January 2019.
